Now a days, we can see many examples about changed of gender roles and steroetypes around us. Women take jobs like policeman, soldier, or doctor which was considered as men's job. Also men take jobs like fashion designer or hair designer which was often considered as women's job. And actually in the world, sometimes they can do better than opposite gender which took those jobs for long times as the gender streotypes, so I think it is really positive facts that stereotypes about gender roles are changing. There are also several movies showing about the gender roles. Like in the "Mulan", the girl took the job, called soldier or knight as regarded as men's job that day instead of her sick father. But as it shows us, Mulan did some important accomplishments during the war with another country for their country. She did better than other 'men' soldiers. I think this director tried to suggest us changing our stereotype of gender roles. The change of gender roles also can bring the success or dedication for our society, so it should be more encouraged.
